The Project
Gamestakers is a skill-based online gaming and esports tournament platform where players compete in real-money matches, join tournaments, and win instant cash prizes — all on infrastructure engineered for trust and speed.
What stood in the way
The client needed a secure platform for real-money skill games with instant payouts, live chat, and an escrow layer to guarantee fair play. Off-the-shelf tools couldn't handle real-time match state, anti-fraud, or instant settlement at the same time.
How we built it
We built a Laravel backend and a React frontend wired to WebSocket real-time chat and match updates. We integrated Paystack and Flutterwave for instant reward payouts and engineered an escrow system that holds stakes until a match resolves, releasing winnings automatically and fairly.
